** Orion SkyQuest XT8 Telescope w/ accessories eyepieces/Filters USED 4x:
$425
Up for sale is a 10 month old Orion Skyquest XT8 Dobsonian telescope with many extras!! We bought this for our son but he's shown no interest and its only been outside a few times (after he saw the moon and saturn he didn't care to see it again or anything for that matter). This is local pick-up only since I don't have the original box for the telescope (see details below in the ad on local pick-up).Everything is in Perfect Like New condition and with over $850 spent on all these items you'll be saving a ton of money not having to buy it new...the extras were all purchased a few months agoin hopes of sparking new interest but to no avail. You get the following:
Orion XT8 Dobsonian telescope (fits 1.25" and 2" eyepieces): Height is over 53" but only weighs 40 pounds and handles on the side make for easy carrying in and out of the house. Swivel base makes for easy rotation to follow the objects in the sky. The EZ Finder mounted on the telescope helps finding objects easier. 8" diameter reflector optics lets you view the Moon and planets in close up detail, and has enough light grasp to pull in pleasing views of faint nebulas, galaxies and star clusters.
Optical Diameter-203mm, Focal Length-1200mm, Focal Ratio- f/5.9, highest magnification 406x, etc. All this means is that it has enough power and quality for every level of user. The picture in the "product detail" section (above the ad title, in the Category section) shows a pic of a telescope. This is not mine as it doesn't have the mini-computer you see in that pic (those telescopes are priced around $1,000). The info I posted in my ad (above paragraph) descibing the telescope is off the manfacturer's product information for my telescope you see pictured.16mm Flat Field eyepiece (1.25") with the original box and eyepiece covers-used once (perfect for seeing deep into the moon craters and close up views of the planets).40mm Highlight Plossl eyepiece (1.25") in the original box and covers-used twice (perfect for wide viewing of the nebluae and star clusters).6mm Celestron eyepiece (1.25") (really close up views!!) original box and the eyepiece covers.25mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece 1.25", no box but comes with the eyepiece covers.Orion Variable Polarizing Filter - 1.25" great for viewing the moon and other bright objects!! Reduces the light to get amazing views and no strain on the eyes!! Comes with the original box and manual - includes plastic cushioned cover to protect the filter.Skyglow Broadband Filter 1.25" - reduces light pollution in the sky to reveal amazing sky views. Comes with the original box and manual and plastic cusioned cover to protect the filter.Orion TriMag 3x Barlow Lens 1.25" - easily attaches to the other eyepieces to get stunning upclose view. Comes with the original box and manual.None of these items were used more thana few timesand are in Like-new condition. Paid over $850 for everything and you don't have to put anything together!! All items were purchased at the recommendation of the astronomers at the Rochester Planetarium, so you are all set to immediately view the star, planets, nebulae, star clusters, etc.All my items come from a pet-free and smoke-free home.
I have no idea how to ship this since there is no box and have no idea on what the shipping cost would be for this item. Therefore, this is a LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY . (While I have no problemdelivering it anywhere withina30-40 mile radius (or the Rochester area), I would preferpayment viaPaypal first, just like any other purchase you would make.If you want to pay cash, thenyou need to see the item first, pay and then I will deliver the telescope (or you can take it with you). It will fit in most larger cars (back seats longer than 53" wide), any Van/SUV/Pickup.
Please check out my other sales this week; sportscards, DVD's and Lego's.
