This is a nice quality 40mm eyepiece with an exceptionally wide apparent field of view of 53 degrees. This makes it an ideal 1.25\" low power wide field eyepiece to hunt down and object or look at something big like the moon or the Pleiades star cluster where you need a large true field of view. This is a quality all metal and glass eyepiece. Please note: this is a smooth top ep, great for people that wear glasses! It is a 4 element Plossl design for clear views from the center to the edge.
