For Sale is an exceptional quality Coulter Odyssey 2 replacement mirror. Many of these large vintage scopes had optical issues with the primary, but this one has tested out to be of outstanding quality, as shown by the Ronchigram and the Matching Ronchigram, which is a simulation of what a perfect mirror would appear like under this test.
It shows the actual and the perfect are very close to each other. The correction is better than 1/6 wave, it is very smooth, free of zoning or astigmatism, and has a good edge, neither turned up or down. This is an excellent all-around performer on deep sky objects as well as super sharp and contrasty planetary and lunar detail.
The coating is in reasonably good condition, there is a small area of scuff at one edge, but no noticeable effect on performance by star testing.
