3.1" Pyrex 1/15th wave secondary mirror in tool-free secondary holder:
$90.00
I am selling a 3.1" Pyrex secondary mirror with enhanced coatings that I purchased from AntaresOptics in 2003 and used on a 16" f/4.5 telescope from 2003-06. The mirror has been stored since then, and Iwould like to give someone else the chance to enjoy it.
I have attached the interferometry printout from AntaresOptical taken after the application of the coatings to themirror's surface. Note the"P-V" value of 0.066,which translates into 1/15th+ wave. There are some sleeks on the mirror since it was mounted in a telescope that was takeninto the field for frequent use, but they did not affect performance. I am also including the secondarymount that the mirror is currently attached to by RTV caulk (which unlike a solid mirror shroud, has enough airflow and flexibility to minimizemirror distortion as the air temperature changes). You can also see the cord that provides a secondary means of securingthe mirror to the holder in the unlikely event that the RTV caulk ever came looseduring viewing (not likely, but why take a chance?).The holder hasthumbscrew bolts so that the secondary mirror can be collimated during setupwithout the need for the use of tools such as wrenches or screwdrivers above the primary mirror. The central stalk for the secondary mount is3/8" in dia.
Shipping estimate is based on Ebay's calculator; if the actual amount is less than the estimate, I will refund the difference at time of shipment.
