An Antique Three Draw 16.75 Inch Brass and Mahogany Marine Telescope in excellent condition and full working order.
I have had several examples similar to this, this one is certainly the nicest and cleanest I have come across.
An original 19th Century Antique item, not a reproduction or copy.
All the Lenses are present, clean, and in good order with no cracks or major damage, the view in use is very good indeed.
This Telescope is working very well, it gives a good, clean and sharp focus, there is no dust or debris visible in use.
A well made and good quality Telescope despite the lack of a Makers Name, as such it would make an ideal present / accessory and / or addition to a collection.
As shown clearly with some minor signs of age and use but not fragile or structurally weak in any way, and with no major damage.
The Brass Draws slide freely but firmly with very little sideways play when fully extended, all have slight signs of use and age but none have dents, splits or any major damage.
The Mahogany Barrel again shows only slight signs of age and use, it has no cracks, splits or major damage.
There is no movement of the Objective End Mounting or to the Eyepiece.
The Objective Lens Cap is a good fit.
The Sliding Lens Shutter works freely.
All the Threads including the internal ones run cleanly and tighten properly.
All is as shown as comprehensively as possible in the many pictures, please examine them in close up before you bid, to satisfy yourself as to condition, suitability, etc. of the item(s) shown.
I always show items in their true light, and will never deliberately hide a negative or detrimental aspect.
The Telescope when fully open measures approx\' 42.70 cms Long, x 3.20 cms Widest Diameter.
Fully Closed approx\' :- 15.70 cms Long.
It weighs :- 203.0 gms, not packed for Shipping.
This will be Shipped as required in a Rigid Cardboard Tube with the appropriate packing to ensure its safe transit.
