Schieber Telescopes introduces aTelescope Tablet Display Kitto capture and display photographs and videos of objects observed with thetelescope. The kit upgrades any ordinary telescope into a digital telescope with a large display to clearly view celestial objects. The kit includes a 1.3 MP or 3.0 MP digital eyepiece camera, 7\" tablet PC with Windows 8.1, tablet holder and stand, tablet cable, and thumb drive with camera software and Stellarium Planetarium software.
The 1.3 MP camera is the default option. To receive the 3.0 MP camera (recommended for high resolution astrophotography), include a message when ordering and I will email you a Paypal Money Request for $35 for the 3.0 MP camera.

1) 1.3MP or 3.0 MP Digital Eyepiece Camera - The camera easily connects to the tablet PC to observe celestial objects in real-time. The video and photos canbe saved to the tablet hard drive for future editing as a AVIvideoorJPEG picture. 2) 7\" Tablet PC - The tablet is theNew Toshiba Encore 7\" WT7-C16MS 16GB Intel Atom WiFi tablet + Free Office 365. Tablet description:7-inch HD touchscreen,Intel Atom Z3735G,1GB memory,16GB SSD hard drive,Up to 7.3 hours battery life (2.5 hours when continuously powering the eyepiece camera). The tablet display is a convenient way to view objects in the telescope without straining the eyes looking in an ordinary eyepiece.
3) 3\' Tablet Mount Holder -The Tablet Mount features a flexible neck and 360 degree rotating head. It is versatile and ideal for holding a 7\" tablet. The holder clip can be attached to various locations on the telescope, such as the tripod tray or on the star diagonal (please see first photograph). The mount can extend up to 3 feet.
4) Tablet Cable - the90 Degree USB 2.0 A Female to Micro B Male Converter Host OTG Adaptor Cable allows the camera to be connected to the tablet.This cable makes the tablet a host so it can provide the power to the camera. The tablet cable also allows installing software.

TheTelescope Tablet Display Kitis a versatile kit to upgrade an ordinary telescope to a digital telescope with a large and clear display. The digitaleyepiece camera connects easily to the tablet PC or to any computer with Windows operating system (Android OS not compatible). The Toshiba tablet is a fully-functional tablet computer with Windows 8.1 and a free Years license of Office 365. The tablet can also be used for normal computer functions, such as browsing the internet, emailing, etc, when not being used as the eyepiece camera display. The tablet comes as a brand new, unopened package.
The tablet battery is recharged by connecting the provided USB cable to another computer. A USB AC adapter to charge the tablet can be purchased separately for $24.99 (Toshiba Part Number: PA3996U-2ACA). The tablet battery life when fully charged is about 2.5 hours when it is continuously powering the digital eyepiece camera and about 7.3 hours when the eyepiece camera is powered off.
