Hello I am selling in person pick up only a vintage Meade 8\" Schmidt-Cassegrain f/10 telescope with manual features and a LX drive system. Price increase on listing for now shipping.
Serial Number: 805680
The telescope has a dew shield, telescope lens cover, official Meade tripod, tripod tray, LX Drive System electrical cord, and many extras I\'m throwing in with the lot. These are all original that belong and come with the Telescope. The extras include a K.26mm eyepiece made in Japan , the spotting scope comes complete with the 8x50mm Meade eyepiece, eyepiece filters including a light pollution filter, official Meade attachments for the telescope. Also throwing in Barlow lens 2x and 3x as well as any other things I can find in the process.
The telescope has a clear focus with no obstructions from what I can see with a clear view. However there is a photo included with what looks like some type of coating corrosion or dormant mold inside but not on the main refracting mirror. It has not affected the viewing experience but should be addressed. A medium scratch on dew shield, some minor wear on tripod, and some wear/dirt on tripod tray that comes included. The spotting scope is missing the cross thread for zeroing in on star ( will need to add a red dot or cross thread if that is important to you).
Very neat vintage telescope that should belong with someone who has an appreciation for Meade telescopes and can do some interesting things with this in their collection.
