Trying to find a good home for this Meade LS-6 ACF scope with AutoStar III Hand Controller with LCD video monitor. My 12 year old son inherited this scope and unfortunately we have not had the time or energy to get out and use it much (and I do not know much about scopes, etc). Included is the manual, several lenses including a solar lens and a lens storage case.
Based on a little research, it appears this is a previous version of the Meade LS-6 ACF scope that\'s available for $1,599 or so online. Since I don\'t have a market value of this scope and the fact that we are simply trying to find someone who can utilize this scope to it\'s full extent, we are putting it up for auction starting at $799. I would prefer to do a local pick-up in the Chicagoland area, but would be willing to ship for $80.
