This great Meade ETX 125-EC is the perfect size for portability, and viewability. Everything works well on this telescope. It\'s not as good at light gathering as an 8\" or 6\" telescope, but much easier to move around, and with the UHTC treated optics, the views are fantastic from this telescope, much better than the 105, 100, or 90mm scopes. It has Meade\'s 497 controller with 40,000 items in it\'s database. It has the Great Meade ETX mount for ease of use, and accuracy. It has a rugged Field Tripod with adjustable Stainless Steel legs, and an EQ platform on the top, so you can use the telescope in either EQ mode, or AltAz mode. Meade\'s famous computerized control requires a short, easy alignment procedure (level the telescope, point it north, turn it on, enter location, time and date, and it will slew to 2 bright stars. You simply center the two stars in the eyepiece, and you\'re set for an evening of star-gazing). It will follow a single item all night long, or take you on a grand tour of the evening\'s sky at your location. You can even take pictures with this telescope using the flip mirror, and the lower port to mount your camera. This telescope comes with the rugged field tripod with EQ platform, adjustable stainless steel legs. and telescope mounting screws.
