The fast f/6 focal ratio provides amazingly clear deep space views that you would only expect to see in a professional setting. These scopes are versatile, portable, and powerful. Portable Truss-Tube Design: The open truss-tube design of the telescope means portability of the telescope is vastly improved over solid tube designed reflectors. This design allows for tremendous focal lengths and amazing light gathering power. This means increased clarity for higher magnifications. The Meade 10" LightBridge Truss-Tube Dobsonian Reflector has a focal length of 1270mm and an f/5 focal ratio. The 2" focuser (with 1.25" adaptor) is suitable for the highest performing astronomical eyepieces available. Plus, the unique Crayford-Style focuser gives you complete control over the focus of the telescope. With the included eyepiece you will get a magnification of 49x. That is 49 times larger than the naked eye. If you are looking for even higher magnifications, we carry a full line of Meade Series 4000 eyepieces in our store.
State-of-the-Art Dobsonian Mount: The dobsonian mount for this telescope exceeds the standard for mechanical strength, stability, and smoothness. It is constructed with sturdy and durable laminated wood and uses two high-precision stainless steel ball bearings in both the Azimuth (side to side) and Altitude (vertical) axes. There is a hand adjustable variable tension brake for smooth and stable movement. The mount also features a built-in objective mirror cooling systems. This advanced feature limits any distortion that might be caused by outside heat. The AutoStar Suite Astronomer Edition planetarium software package included will teach you how to navigate the night sky using your telescope. It is loaded with star charts and tons of information on thousands of stellar objects.

Lost or Damaged Items
If your item is lost in shipping please contact us within 30 days of making your payment so that we can file an insurance claim with the carrier. If your item arrives damaged, you must notify within 5 days of receiving the item so that we can file an insurance claim with the carrier. After we initiate a shipment claim with the carrier and we can than issue a refund or replacement shipment.

This telescope is covered by the original factory warranty because it is coming directly from an Authorized Meade Dealer.
This telescope will ship directly from an Authorized Meade Dealer. The telescope is brand new, it is not refurbished and it is not reconditioned. As a result, the full origianl factory warranty applies. That is a standard 1 year warranty against defects.
