Rare Vintage Boxed Tasco 4VTE Asteroid 50x Astronomical Refractor Telescope 1960\'s.
This vintage Tasco 4VTE \'Asteroid\' astronomical refracting telescope is in superb, boxed, fully working condition. It doesn\'t look like it has had much, if any use. It really is in mint condition. The 40mm aperture 520mm focal length telescope is in excellent cosmetic condition, as shown in the supplied images. It provides variable magnifications of 25x - 30x - 35x - 40x - 45x & 50x via a click-stop eypiece. It has been fully tested and is working prefectly!
The fully (Magnesium Fluoride) coated optics are perfect, being clean, clear and both scratch and fungus free. There are no chips or damage present at all, following a thorough inspection. The anti-reflection lens coatings are flawless. There is no internal dust whatsoever visible (when viewing in reverse). This telescope produces excellent images, which are bright, clear, crisp and very well corrected, as you would expect from this well made vintage Japanese telescope. The telescope\'s eyepiece focus works beautifully. Comes complete with table top tripod and yolk, both of its original lens caps, focus knob covers, instruction booklet, original sales ticket and colourful sales box as shown.
Features a 40mm objective lens and 25x-50x variable magnifications.
Overall a wonderful vintage Japanese astronomical telescope in excellent condition. This would make a superb addition to any collection!
