Description
An Antique Mahogany Cased Camera Obscura, with a Sliding Lacquered Brass Mounted Glass Objective Lens.
A smaller example which would have been easily portable.
The Glass Lens has a tiny anomaly as shown, this does not affect the way it performs at all.
The Lens is otherwise all good with no cracks or major damage, as shown clearly.
The Lens Mounting will slide in and out to achieve focus etc, it moves smoothly and firmly.
The Lens itself has no movement within its Mount.
The Opaque Glass Viewing Panel and Internal Mirror, (the Mirror has slight movement) are both intact and in good order, the Glass Panel is removable, as shown.
The Lid sits slightly proud when closed and there is a small crack to the Wood on one side of the Hinge, that said the Hinge and its Fixings are all strong with no weaknesses or structural issues.
The Mahogany Case with minor cosmetic signs of age and use but with no structural issues or major damage.
Dimensions are as shown in the Photographs.
The Item weighs :- 66.0 gms, not packed for Shipping.
