Antique COVENTRY CT Deep Olive Green Glass INK WELL Blown Three Mold
This auction is for an antique ink well made by the Coventry Glass Works in Connecticut. the glass has a deep olive green color and the style is similar to GII-18 but there is no ribbing on the outer portion of the top surface. The diameter is 2 ¼” and it stands a maximum of 1 ½” high – there is variation in the height from one side to the other with a minimum of 1 7/16”. The overall condition is VF to Excellent with proper wear on the bottom and fine wear on the top from normal use. There are NO chips, flakes, or cracks but there is old dried ink rattling around inside and an impression (glass flaw/bubble?) by the dip hole which probably was useful as a pen wipe.
