Interesting find of an antique bi-polar open cast iron frame 1/8 hp 110 volt fan motor. Not positive if its AC or DC. The only listing I can find for this motor is a reference in a Detroit business directory in 1889. Its easily 100 plus years old.I found bought this at an estate auction where many items were purchased at the Henry Ford museum deaccession auction in the early 80\'s. Its 11\" long and 7\" high including the base and tips the scale at 20.6 lbs. Spins over easily, the spring loaded brushes have tension and retract easily.Beautiful cosmetic shape-. The last photo is to show this motor in Scale. Only one motor is included in the auction, the Detroit. This motor is untested-please consider at this age it will need some repair. In looking at one hard rubber cap on one coil has a hairline crack, two wires on the same coil are not attached.
