This auction is for an excellent-surviving 1988 Coulter Odyssey 8-inch f/4.5, full-thickness pyrex parabolic mirror with matching pyrex secondary mirror along with the original metal mounting bar for the secondary mirror as well as the hardware to fasten in to the inside of the optical tube. Everything you see here is factory original from Coulter. The EXACT minor axis measurement of the secondary mirror is 2 and 1/16-inches. The EXACT length of the bar that supports the secondary mirror is 9 and 3/8-inches.The primary has a very good figure and is quite worthy of fine deep sky observing. These scopes were marketed for use on nebulae, globular cluster, and galaxy observation, and this mirror is no exception. It does just that and very well. These mirrors have survived VERY well for their age and a reacoating is NOT necessary. The mirrors have been professionally cleaned by me and require NO cleaning or dusting prior to installment and immediate use in the field. This is perfect as a replacement kit for your aging Odyssey ota or it can make a wonderful homemade reflector project. It will come as seen with top professional packing.
