This is an early Victorian Scientific Optical Instrument
A \'Theolodite\' made by Irish maker from Dublin:
\"JOHN SPENCER\"
I am unsure as to the exact date of this item...But John Spencer, I believe, came from a very early family of scientific instrument makers
In very good condition, except, please note, it is missing its spirit level, but I am sure easy to come by...
It comes with its mahogany case with handles....Also it still has the original paper label inside the case...
Fully marked on the side of the instrument \'John Spencer\'
The Box/case measures approx: 17.75 Inches(45cms) X 5 Inches(12.7cms) X 5 Inches(12.7cms)
This is a heavy item, weighing approx 4.6 kilos, unpacked, overseas bidders please be advised of this...
