I don\'t know that much about telescopes except what I remember from a class in astronomy from community college so I don\'t know any real specifications on this mirror or even if it is still usable.The history is that we bought a large reflecting telescope over 30 years ago from an amateur astronomer who built it for an adult astronomy group he was a part of. We kept the huge telescope covered in a closet and used it on nights when we wanted to look at the moon and stars. It was amazing but we got tired of it an recently dismantled it and tossed the barrel of the telescope but saved the mirror.
The metal part weighs a lot. The glass has 55.5\" on the side of it. Although there is some smudging where the clips hold it in place, the mirror itself doesn\'t seem damaged. It may have some slight scratches and a speck on it but I am not going to attempt to clean it and risk ruining it.
