    Equipment I used it on is an 8" f/6 Newtonian OTA. Well, what can I say? It does exactly what it's supposed to. Just tried it tonight on M97, the Owl Nebula and M57, the Ring Nebula. I really wanted to do more but just my luck, the wind came up. As for M97 instead of a faint disk with just a little detail it brought out the "eyes" and other detail with ease at 81X. M57 was very bright with detail starting to show at 135X and a pitch black background for both. Just to see what happens, I used it on M51, the Whirlpool Galaxy, and as expected it dimmed it along with darkening the background. What it did do was make the HII regions more noticeable increasing detail. This will not work with galaxies that have little gas in their structure like the large ellipticals.
