I am very familiar with Manfrotto products but had never had a tripod so light weight from Manfrotto. I wanted something I didn't have to lug around and this tripod filled the bill. I was skeptical, at first. Most tripods in this category are cheaply made, easily breakable, unstable, etc. I hoped that when I won the bid for this tripod it was not like the others. When I received the tripod, I was very surprised. It is very well made, stable, and very easy to use. It fits perfectly in the backpack. Other tripods that collapse to such a small size are extremely flimsy when fully extended out. Manfrotto took great care in ensuring that was not the case for this tripod. It is very stable. I also like that the head and attached stem (?) can be removed, turned upside down and re-attached upside down to the tripod allowing the legs to be collapsed with the camera on it. This allows a picture to be taken at ground level, albeit upside down. Something easily turned right side up on a computer. This allows the photographer to not have to lay down on the ground and can use the 'liveview' of the camera to get the perfect shot.Read full review
I brought mine with my D5100 from Sams Club six years ago and haven't seen it with the tripod since. It is lightweight, travels well; Mine has traveled the world with me multiple times with no problems fitting overhead when filled. Fits well on shoulders and is comfortable for females. Well padded and compartments are adjustable. I love that you can quickly get to your camera with lens attached, and then quickly re-store, as it has both Velcro and a latch closing for security. No problem with zippers and stitching. Inside, with tripod and lens attached to camera, you can also carry laptop, manuals, flash kit, battery charger and extra batteries, 3 extra lenses, and lens filters. Tripod is very good and easily stabilizes and securely holds cameras with heavy lenses (I use an 18-300). I highly recommend this backpack for the active camera enthusiasts.Read full review

I purchased this deal because I needed a camera case that would store what I needed and leave both my hands free. I am pleased. Case is nice and well padded. The tripod fits snug inside. It’s ok considering the price I paid for both. Doesn’t have a lot of extra features.
