This is a great, small, lightweight spotting scope, perfect for carrying in the field. The magnification range, 11x-33x, is plenty for spotting game and other objects at reasonable ranges. The scope is bright and clear for its size, but does have the limitation of a 50 mm objective and associated small diameter when compared to larger scopes.You don't get something for nothing, but I am very pleased with the compromise.

What I found out the fist time purchasing a spitting scope is that the more magnification you have, doesn’t necessarily mean the clearer an object will be at a distance. You’ll always have to contend with the mirage. This scope has the right amount of magnification for what I need it for and provides a clear image even at full power.
