    Great. But your going to need to spend time with it.

    It's a great product for a telescope. However be prepared to spend some time with the hand controller. I had to reset and updated software for it. I had an error that was making my scope point to the ground. I reset and finally got it work correctly. Use 24 hour time and try and find a location. It only takes the starsense a few minutes to find it. Be sure to have a large open sky to use it the first time. I think it will be a good addition to have and see how it works out over time. Celestron Edge HD 8" with a AVX mount.

    Good Quality Poor Manual

    Celestron - StarsSense has a very practical application but the product was put on the market with out proper beta testing. The Manual shipped with it is useless. Program is written with bad directions. They should re-write it so the software-Manual agrees. If I could return it and get an up to date manual I would. Several on-line chat rooms have provided more information about the problems, which makes it more compatible and acceptable for use. I have had it for over a month and due to poor weather and my confusion with the manual and actual operation of it has delayed this review. Celestron should be ashamed, putting out a product without testing the manual and operation compatibility.

    Make Easy

    One of the best products that I have purchased. If you do your part right in the set up, your ready up and running in a snap. Take heart if it does not work the first time or two keep trying you will get it. And boy is it cool.

    Very difficult set up but worth the effort

    The set up procedure is complicated and does not always work. I'm a systems engineer and have years of experience setting up difficult and poorly designed systems. The hand device locked up several times during set up. Once it started working (I bungled the set up numerous times spending hours trying to set it up and then it magically started working) it is amazing. I searched Ring Nebula and Andromeda and the device put them dead center in my 12mm viewing ocular. Despite the difficult set up procedure (you need to be very persistent) it is worth the effort.

    Definately worth the money!

    I am disabled and astronomy is my new hobby. I bought the Nexstar Evolution 9.25 and this product just simplified everything. Now I can find more than just the planets! Easy to use, but does require some patience for initial set up. I blame most of that on my learning curve. Although I live in the mountains I have some limited view because I'm on a hillside and have 2 large trees to deal with, but it doesn't slow down the alignment process which is fast and painless. Glad I bought this.
