WOW! This is one rare and beautiful master ink bottle in a knockout color!!!The color is very deep and needs back lighting of some sort to see through it. In a average lit room it almost appears black just holding it in your hand.
When you have the right lighting the color is a knockout!!! I would describe it as a Pink Amethyst with maybe some puce. There is absolutely no amber in this one!It has some very nice bubbles and is quite crude which is what you would expect for it\'s age. It has an early smooth base. Also a nice applied double collar mouth with hand crimped pour spout. It was hand blown in a three part mold. This is a wonderful early New England master ink in such a rare color. I have never seen one in this color before. The pictures don\'t do it justice! It stands just over 8\" tall and is in perfect condition!Looking at the base under a magnifying glass it\'s possible it may actually have some sort of improved pontil. There is an area where you would normally see the circumference of an iron pontil that looks like a slightly different surface color and texture. However, this is pure speculation on my part and it likely is just an early smooth base. I have bottles with the center bump like this one and an iron pontil that encircles it. I don\'t think this missed it by much.Don\'t miss this one. You may wait a very long time before seeing another one like it!Use the zoom feature to view all the pictures (except the first one which cannot be enlarged).**************************************************************************************************************************

ABOUT YOUR SELLER:

I’m purely a collector and almost exclusively sell items I once purchased for one of my collections. I’m an honest seller and consider myself very thorough when describing an item, but also believe a good picture (or 12) can be worth more than words. I describe any and all issues that I’m aware of. You can be assured that I only sell items I was once willing to purchase for myself and my own collection. This makes me more knowledgeable of the items I sell than the average seller would be.How many times have you read \"I am not knowledgeable about this item, so please buy at your own discretion\", or\"Selling As Is\". \"As is\" always raises a red flag for me because it really means there is probably something wrong with the item that may not be disclosed. The term is widely misused today. When it comes to being disappointed in a purchase, believe me, I have been there many times. All I can say is thank you eBay for your Money Back Guarantee!!! eBay becomes an important source of income for me when I\'m selling, so PLEASE don\'t bid if you think you won\'t be able to pay (thank you). Please ask questions. You can never ask too many questions or the wrong ones. Thank you for looking and please remember to check back often because I\'m usually listing something; however, I\'ve been know to frequently take long breaks after a selling spree, so it\'s best to select the option to be notified when I list something new.I have a lot ofgood stuff to sell.**************************************************************************************************************************THE \"FINE PRINT\": I start most of my auctions at a low or reasonable starting price. This is in no way a reflection of the value of the item or what I paid for it, but rather an attempt to offer something where everyone has a chance to bid/win. I DO accept returns, but usually not for “Buyer’s Remorse”, just because you changed your mind for reasons other than the item. However, I do consider myself a reasonable person and will consider all requests. My pictures are quite good and if the color is off I will mention it. I also describe the smallest problems that I notice such as scratches, haze/stain (common in vintage glass), wear, cracks, chips, repairs, or defects of any kind, etc. I WILL accept a return for issues I didn’t notice and/or disclose that are valid issues (something that\'s not part of the design and detectable in some way). Please always try me first before eBay (contact me for a return before going through eBay and I will do my best to make it right with you). Each request for a refund will be treated fairly and on an individual basis.

Please feel free to ask any questions or if you want more pictures. The pictures are part of my description so please look at them. In most cases there is nothing wrong with the item at all (unless I mention it), but I only say this so you know exactly what you are bidding on. If you have a problem with anything then please contact me first before opening a case with eBay or indicating you have a problem (i.e. item not received, or not as described, etc.). I am very reasonable and easy to work with. EBAY only needs to get involved if you are unhappy with my resolution to the problem. If you are uncomfortable with this approach then by all means go through eBay first. Also, when leaving feedback, I would greatly appreciate it if you would please not score me low on any of the 5 categories or leave neutral/negative feedback BEFORE contacting me first and giving me a chance to make things right with you. So far this has not been necessary because all of my buyers have been satisfied buyers. Thanks!!! Shipping includes Priority Mail status (except for some items that don\'t fit in a 12\" box) and free insurance. If you want Priority shipping for a large or heavy item (more than 12\" in any dimension or greater than 3 pounds), especially if I offer only Economy or Parcel shipping, then please contact me for a quote. We willpack your item(s) with the utmost care. I am a long-time collector of glass and ceramic items. I know how fragile they are and have been \"broken hearted\" one too many times when receiving a rare or \"one-of-a-kind\" item only to open a box full of broken pieces or shards. It can be enough to make a grown man cry! It\'s usually not about the money, this is refundable, but about not being able to replace said item which in some cases is something that one may have been looking for a long time. It can ruin your week, month, year, hopefully not your life though, which is far more precious than any materialistic item.I only ship to international locationsthrough theUS shipping center using the Global Shipping Program.I only accept payment through PayPal. Please pay within 48 hours unless you make other arrangements with me AHEAD OF TIME, before the auction ends. I can accommodate some of your needs such as placing a proxy bid before going on vacation, waiting for you to receive your paycheck, or waiting to pay when bidding on multiple items over a short period of time (to save on shipping), etc. Thank you for viewing my auction. I appreciate your interest. I have many more items to list, so stay tuned.
