AuxFi is awireless WiFi adapter for Celestron GoTo mounts.


AuxFi connects to theAUX port on the mount and is designed to quickly aim the telescope using mobiledevices and PCs.


Important: No external poweror battery is required to turn on this WiFi adapter!


If yourCelestron telescope does not have an additional AUX port, you can order theAUX Port Splitter forCelestron(https://www.ebay.com/itm/312819360085), a compatible 6-pin splitter for splitting the hand controllerconnection port. The following models are currently known to have no AUX port:LCM series and AS-GT (CG-5) Advanced GT series.

How to start:


1. Connectthe WiFi AuxFi adapter to the AUX port on the mount (before powering on thetelescope);

2. Turn on the telescope.

3. Turn onWi-Fi mode on your mobile device and connect to an access point with SSID -"AuxFi". When connected, the device asks for a password. The default passwordis "12345678".


Anexample of setting up and controlling a telescope using SkySafari software:


1.Downloadand install SkySafari software. In the main menu go to "Settings";

2.Scrolldown to the "Telescope" section and click "Settings";

3.Selectthe type of equipment used "Scope Type - Celestron WiFi" and the typeof mount, depending on your setting "Mount Type - Equatorial Goto(German)" or "Alt-Az. Go to ". In the" Communicationsettings "section, select the type of wireless connection -" UseDirect Connect ".

4.Go backto the main menu and click "Connect".


If donecorrectly, you will hear a pleasant sound, and a crosshair with concentriccircles will appear on the screen, indicating the direction in which thetelescope is looking. On the sides there will be buttons that allow you to movethe telescope along the axes of the mount.

AuxFi alsoworks with SkyPortal mobile app and CPWI app (Celestron PWI Telescope ControlSoftware) for PC.


Ifnecessary, SSID (username) and password can be changed to individual ones. Todo this, open the SkySafari or SkyPortal application, go to the"Communication Settings" section and select the menu -"Configure Access Point".
