The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov, a Soviet/Russian optician and astronomer who invented this telescope design in 1941. Though not as widely known as the refractor or Newtonian reflector, the Maksutov-Cassegrain offers superb optical performance. The design corrects the known optical problems such as coma (found in reflector telescopes) while also correcting chromatic aberration (found in refractors). In pursuit of a more precise and comfortable calibration experience, Sarblue configured the MAK70 with a full-size adjustable tripod with a micro-control gimbal head.
The fine-tuning knobs on the non-slip rubber surface has a beautiful appearance, and the use feel and adjustment sensitivity are also improved.
Compact and portable tripod with

Focus the telescope
Turn the focus knob until you get a sharp view. Please note that the focus knob might require many turns to finish focus adjustment due to the Maksutov-Cassegrain design.
View with the diagonal mirror
With the help of 90° diagonal mirror, our telescope is good for both celestial and terrestrial targets. It provides mirror images, which is more convenient to observe than ordinary inverted imaging.
Adjust the finderscope
The traditional finderscope is fixed to the lens barrel and calibrated by three screws on the bracket. For different conditions and users, our finderscope can freely adjust the position and observation angle.

This is not just a smartphone adapter for MAK70, it is common to all telescopes. It also comes with a removable 1.5X Barlow lens. For better images, you can remove it to use. For greater magnification, you can use it.
