Meade 8" F/6.3 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope OTA
This telescope is in mint condition. It is the rare F6.3 model (1280mm FL) for fast and bright photo use. It has always been in a case and rarely used. It works very well with crop sensor camera bodies. With a focal reducer F4 is achievable but with a more limited image circle.
It includes original Meade mounting plate and removable Losmandy narrow accessory top dovetail shown in the first photos.
Optionally, if you wish to use an equatorial mount,it can be equipped with top and bottom Losmandy dovetail system plates as well as the original plate shown in the photos for an additional $25 per plate. Please message for price adjustment.
Also includes a new 2" visual back and Kendrik Quik Focus front cover along with the original cover.
It has an additional Pentax 67 flange mount to use larger extension tubes and accessories and to adapt easily to different camera bodies. This allows separate focal reducers or teleconverters inside the tubes without the camera mounted to them. This keeps the camera very solid without flexing. I used fixed tubes with a helicoid extension for adjustable backfocus, then adapted to a camera. Of course you can still use the standard rear SCT thread for coupling accessories such as 2" visual back and cameras.
It will be packaged in the original box and papers it came with.
