George Dudash upgrade eliminates worries of blown capacitors, or PCB failures. Set up is easy with the GPS automatically feeding exact location, date and time into the telescope’s computer. Features include a database of over 30,000 celestial objects with multiple guided tours, such as Tour of the Best of the Night Sky. Each tour includes an audio narration describing the objects, with automatic slewing bringing the object into the field of view. This is not your standard LX200 Classic!This Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope is in very good condition with a 254mm aperture and a 2500 mm focal length, which on good seeing nights, can achieve a magnification of up to 650 power allowing for clear and detailed views of celestial objects. Its altazimuth mount type makes it easy to navigate and track objects in the night sky. The built in WiFi allows control of the telescope from your computer, tablet or smartphone with appropriate software.
Also with this telescope is the original Meade tripod plus a “Scope Saver” mounting assistant that facilitates the mounting of the telescope onto the tripod so that this is an easy process! The Scope Saver also has two way bubble levels built in and eyepiece holders as well as a hand control holder. This makes mounting the scope on the tripod very smooth, a ($195 upgrade if you could find one). Original 90 degree mirror and eyepiece included.
