EQStarPRO - equatorial mount control system
designed to automate the control of the equatorial mount, and can be used in
stand-alone mode and in a control mode using a computer or mobile device
(phone, tablet, etc.)
Compared to other controllers, the NEW EQStarPRO is faster, more
powerful, quieter and smoother!
On a PC, EQStarPRO works with any
astronomical programs that support the ASCOM platform. For example, with the
planetarium Stellarium, Cartes de Ciel, StarCalc and others. Among
astrophotography and auto-guiding programs, EQStar supports MaximDL,
Guidemaster, PHD2 and others. When you work with a PC, EQStarPRO can
automatically find celestial objects and automatically track them (directing)
during astrophotography with a high shutter speed. Also, when working with a
PC, you need to install the ASCOM application EQMOD.
EQStarPRO also supports working with the
INDI astronomical platformand ZWO ASIAIR Pro.
Controlling the telescope using mobile
devices allows you to automatically find celestial objects. In the planetarium
program on a mobile device, either Celestron or SynScan should be selected as a
telescope control, as well as a mount - a German equatorial mount. The
following software for mobile devices running EQStarPRO include SkySafari,
Orion StarSeek, DSOPlaner, and others.
EQStarPRO communicates with a PC via USB
or WiFi, and with a mobile device via WiFi.

user-friendly control conditions depending on the tasks.
For example, an astrophotographer
typically uses a laptop or PC to search for, aim and direct an object during a
long exposure. These features are mainly programs running under Windows. But
for a lover of visual astronomy, it is much more convenient to control the
mount using a compact mobile device, smartphone or tablet, rather than using a
PC or laptop.
EQStarPRO comes with a universal
joystick for manual control, which allows you to autonomously control mounting
without a computer, smartphone or tablet.
