This is for alovely clean and very well made old Georgian telescopic orspyglass from around 1780.It hasa single draw that pulls out to focus on near and far objects and is made from the usualgood quality materials that such glasses of the time were often madefrom. The edge of the silver collar on the lower half is marked with the maker Ramsden -London.Jesse Ramsden was one of the most notable and well respected instrument makers of his time. This spyglassisvery well made, it has that nice qualityfeel when you pullthe drawbackthat good old spyglasses have and its a very well preserved example, totally functionalwithgood crisp and clear lenses that give a sharp image.It is in excellent cosmetic condition toowith nodamage toitat all, there are some natural markings on the casing but reallyhardly any wear at all, thereno cracks or splits in the casing, no scratches to the glass and no dings or dents to the silver, its a really nice well preserved old glass. The largestlens is 45mm (1.75\") in diameter and thesmaller one is 14mm (1.5\") in diameter.
