From the heavy-duty 2-inch R&P focuser to the precision-figured FPL-53 super extralow-dispersion optical glass, this beautiful optical tube assembly (OTA) exudes quality in every aspect and is entirelynihon sei(made in Japan); estimated date of manufacture, 2016 or 2017 (NRO deduced that because the successor of the ED81S II, the SD81S, was advertised as new in the 2018 Vixen catalog and was replaced by the SD81S II in late 2021).
