Often considered to be the original short tube 80, this scope/tripod combo can serve as the ultimate backyard grab & go unit, a travel scope, or a conversation piece perched on an executive desk (or all of the above). Highly collectible and extremely rare, these sets come up for sale maybe once every few years—and almost never in this close to like-new condition.

• Classic late-1980s/early-1990s Vixen white & greenlivery(estimated date of manufacture circa early 1990s)
• Scope visual back and allaccessories are in original 0.965 format; can be converted for use with 1.25-inch accessories by purchasing hybrid0.965-to-1.25 diagonal (not included in this listing); **see separate NRO listing for grab bag of 0.965 accessories**
• Very sturdy and well built, with metal lens cell and R & P focuser and very little plastic to be seen, this scope sold new for a workingman\'s weekly wages 30 years ago
